Individual assignment and group assignment - 3 minute film x 2 (50%) to assess learning outcomes 1, 3, 4 and 5.
Presentation (25%) to assess learning outcomes 2 and 4.
Logbook (25%) to assess learning outcomes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

1. The fundamentals of video camera technology and its operation. Including shutter, focal length, aperture, depth of field and sound recording
2. Video composition

9. Introduction to relevant mathematical theories of algebra, power series, trigonometry, depth of field and inverse square law

Learning on all aspects of the content will be facilitated by labs and tutorials, problem solving exercises and student centred learning.
Practical assignments using portable and fixed film making equipment will support the learning.

Prospectus Information
|
The fundamentals of video production and its technology are covered in a series of tutorials and hands on lab sessions. The module includes filming on professional DV cameras and editing on NLE systems, photographic composition and programme making are also covered.
